As for previous editions of the EP Technical Meeting, a Focus Collection (formerly known as Special Issue) of refereed journal articles will be published in Nuclear Fusion.

If you plan to submit a Focus Collection manuscript associated with your contribution to the EP-TM 2026 meeting, please notify the Guest Editor, Mario Podestà, through this form by October 2, 2026 if you haven’t done so already.

After a first selection by the Guest Editor, authors will be informed by Nucl. Fusion about how to submit their contribution.

• The deadline for informing the Guest Editor about your plan to submit a Focus Selection contribution is October 2, 2026. 
• The deadline for paper submission is November 23, 2026 – based on positive initial feedback from the Guest Editor and Nuclear Fusion. 

 

Information for Authors from the NF Board of Editors:

• The papers to be included in the collection are those selected by the Guest Editor, in consultation with the individual authors, based on criteria of originality and quality.
• The same high standards for novelty and significance apply as for regular Nuclear Fusion articles; conference type presentations repeating the authors’ published results, are not acceptable.  
• There is no page limit for submissions.
• Each submission will be reviewed by two referees.
• The published papers are subject to article charges.
• Each author may be asked to referee one of the other papers.
• There is a submission deadline. Submissions received after the deadline may be excluded from the focus collection, and if accepted may be published as regular articles.
• The submission will be made online. More information will be sent to the selected Authors by Nuclear Fusion (expected date: around mid-October 2026).
